Linen and Laundry Chaos Contained!

The laundry room is most likely the room with the most chaos at any given time since laundry seems to be a never ending circle of hell. But there are some simple ways to contain the madness that is laundry and linen.

What you'll need:
Sheets
Pillow Cases

If you are like me you have 40 different sets of bedsheets and every time you open the closet door they all seem to come crashing down! A simple way to keep your Linen closet in some sort of order is to neatly fold up sheet sets and place inside on of the pillow cases of the matching set. This will keep the closet neat and tidy and off your head when you need to open the door.

Cost of Project: $0

In my house I used to have laundry baskets in so many different places it was a job to get all the laundry to the laundry room. When I ran across this idea I automatically thought to myself.....DUH!!!! Why didn't I think of this before?!?  This is an inexpensive and moderately easy way to keep your laundry together and not all over the laundry room floor.

What You'll Need:
Laundry Baskets
Old Coffee table with open bottom ((solid wood)) (buy cheap or free even on sites like Craigslist or yard sales)
sand paper
paint/stain/stencils (if you choose to decorate)
2-3People to help lift

***IF YOU CHOOSE TO DECORATE THIS PIECE SANDING,PAINTING,AND STENCILING SHOULD BE DONE AND GIVEN PLENTY OF TIME TO DRY BEFORE USE.*****

After the piece is decorated to your taste Slide the coffee table into the laundry nook and place your washer and dryer on top. Place your laundry basket(s) in the open bottom and BAM! Organized laundry room!

Total Cost of Project:

Less than $50!!!!

DIY Jewerly Organizer

As we all know, organizing jewelry can be a pain, and sometimes you just dont have the money to spend on a nice jewelry box. So here is an idea to re-purpose silverware drawer containers.

You'll Need:

Silverware Drawer Container (plastic or wood) I recommend wood for a classic look.
Command or screw in hooks.
Hammer
nails

I prefer the wood silverware container, paint or design to your taste. add the hooks and hang! Easy Peasy!

This is not only an inventive way to reuse household items but even to buy the silverware boxes new will still be super cheap!

Price of Project: Less than $20!
